Test Stand for the "Phoenix" Liquid Bipropellant Rocket on UCSD's Rocketry Team. I had the chance to learn waterjetting and basic MIG welding for this project, really enjoyable experience. The video at the end shows the stand surviving a particularly fiery test.
Designed and manufactured the Thrust-Chamber-Assembly for the "Hermes" solid-fuel rocket. Also aided in the design and manufacturing of the internal structure, segment spacers, avionics housing, and recovery system.
I help create the hull for the submarine on UCSD's Human Powered Sub team. Though I didn't end up staying with the team too long, I still really value the chance to help contribute and work on the sub.
I made a bunch of internal and exteral structural components for the "Phoenix" Liquid-Fuel Rocket at UCSD. Highlights include metallic bulkheads for the internal structure and fiberglass tubes for the external structure.
I did research at UCSD on boomerang aerodynamics in Dr. Prasad Gudem's lab. My research focused on the effect that raised wingtips had on boomerang vortex generation and flight trajectory. I created lots of prototypes, tested them, and gathered data which is being used by the lab.
